THE FACIAL SPRAY 

I will be talking about the Mario Badescu facial spray and my personal thoughts about the product. I first heard about this facial spray from many online beauty vloggers and how amazing it was for their skin. So of course I wanted to get my hands on this and find out what the big deal was about and if it really worked. I purchased the facial spray on amazon.com for about $11 CAD, which is a reasonable price and then 2 days later I realized you can also purchase at sephora.ca for only $7CAD… just my luck lol. I noticed that Mario Badescu has so many different facial sprays with many different ingredient. I decided to purchase the aloe, herbs and rosewater one due to my love with rosewater and also I wanted aloe to help hydrate my skin in this harsh winter. 

MY EXPERIENCE 

You can use this facial spray two different ways; for just refreshing your skin when becoming dry and/or as a setting spray for your makeup. I began using this product for about 2 weeks as a setting spray for my makeup, to see how it would set. I’ll be honest I didn’t quite see an amazing difference from other setting sprays. I felt like it left my makeup still looking matte instead of a dewy finish. If you like setting sprays that just sit on your makeup creating a matte look then this product will be in your favour, but for myself I like when my makeup has a dewy finish.

The second way I used the facial spray was before going to bed. My nightly routine consist of me washing off my makeup with a cleanser, then applying a toner and then lotion. But instead of applying my lotion at the end I applied the Mario Badescu facial spray instead. With that said I woke up the next day with hydrated skin, awake and didn’t have that dull look that I sometimes wake up with. I began getting addict to this spray and whenever I wasn’t wearing any makeup I would just spray my face to add more hydration. Overall I would purchase this spray again but not as a setting spray for makeup but as a refresher for the bare skin before going to bed and waking up.

Thanks for stopping by! Today I will be talking about the skincare company “The Ordinary”. I want to make a disclaimer that I do not work for any of the brands I do reviews on nor do I have a background on skincare. I am just experimenting with many brands to find the best fit for me and maybe yourself as well. I first discovered this company through a purchase at Sephora and was hooked ever since. The two products that I’m truly obsessed with is the 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil (which helps acne like no other) and the High-Adherence Silicone Primer (which makes my skin look smooth under makeup). These products can be purchased at deciem.com and are super affordable which I will get more into during this blog.

100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil (30ML):

I have combination skin which means my t-zone is oily which is my forehead, nose and chin however my cheeks get dry. So when purchasing this face oil for only $9.90 CAD at deciem.com, I wanted to see how this oil benefited my skin type. I first noticed that my skin became very smooth and my acne scars began to disappear. My skin usually breaks out regularly which is annoying BUT when I started using this oil my acne would go down and I was left with fewer acne bumps on my face. I noticed these changes after using the product just 4 times in one week. I highly suggest to use this product before going to bed due to the oiliness that will be left on your skin. I was truly shocked that the Rose Hip Oil was going to make such a big difference with my acne. Overall very satisfied with this product and will for sure make many purchases of it.

High-Adherence Silicone Primer (30ML):

I wear makeup everyday and with that said I’ve been searching for such along time to find a primer that doesn’t make me break out, is affordable and makes my makeup sit nice and smooth on my skin. With those concerns in mind I decided to try the high-adherence silicone primer from deciem.com which is only $4.40 CAD… yes only $4.40. I begin doing my makeup with a clean face and then apply my primer all over. After I use the primer (a small amount goes along way) I apply my foundation. Right away I kind of freak out cause my foundation was applying much smoother then normal. After I set my face with setting powder, I look in the mirror and my skin look so matte and smooth. I used the silicone primer for a good month and no lie I was getting so many compliments. My skin was so smooth under my make and I received questions on what I was using, which I then told them about the Silicone Primer & Rose Hip Seed Oil from The Ordinary Company!
